Mental health and wellbeing at school, plus useful links for parents.

The mental health and wellbeing of our children is very important to us. We provide space and support in a variety of ways – some of which are listed below. There are also many external agencies who we partner with to help parents – which can be accessed directly. These are also listed below with links where relevant.

Learning Mentors

Emmanuel and Kieron of KidsIn2Sport specialise in supporting children’s learning through sport 1:1 as well as being available during lunch time and working with their teachers and the SENCO

Main areas of support:  emotional and behaviour
Frequency:  daily


Art Therapist

Iraxte is a professional councillor and trained art therapist who works with children 1:1 using art as a medium on a confidential basis. 

Main areas of support:  emotional and behaviour, confidence building
Frequency: weekly


Reach Out Learning Mentors

Charity that provide 12 mentors once per week after school in partnership with parents.

Frequency: weekly


NHS CAHMS

This is a child and adolescent mental health service provided by the Borough

Main areas of support:  emotional and behaviour support
Frequency: weekly


Arsenal

Community Partnership that provides coaches to read with reluctant readers to work on their confidence. 

Main areas of support:  reading and confidence
Frequency: weekly

Charlie Waller Mental Health Resources

Soapbox and Local Village Network

SoapBox is an Islington Council funded youth provision and provide a STEAM (Science/Technology/Engineering/Arts/Maths) Mentoring programme funded by the Greater London Authority.


Richard Reeves

Year 5 additional tuition funding grant for Year 5 for pupil premium children not reaching targets both in expected and greater depth in reading, writing and mathematics.
