Celebrating St. Valentine in the Nursery

Pearl and Amethyst classes were feeling the love this week by baking cookies in heart shapes and making heart shaped decorations.

St. Valentine was a Roman Catholic priest in the 200s. He secretly helped couples in love marry, even though the emperor had outlawed marriage. He was a martyred on February 14, in the year 278 AD. The children learnt about the story of St Valentine in class and some made Valentine’’s cards.
